David Lloyd OGDEN

David Lloyd Ogden passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 2, 2021, in Fernie B.C.

A true family man and avid outdoorsman, Dave lived for his family, friends, and anything to do with the outdoors. Along with hunting, fishing and berry picking; Dave’s passion was for his kids, grandkids, and his wife of 58 years, Donna. Dave shared a special bond with each of his grandkids.

Donna and Dave met and married in Hanna, Alberta and moved to the Elk Valley in the 70’s where they built a lifetime of memories together while raising and providing for their three kids: Darren, Shelley, and Mike. Dave (who started working on his own at the age of 13), carried his hard work ethic and mechanical skills into his mining career in the Elk Valley where he held numerous positions until his retirement in 2007.

No matter who you where, if you ran you ran into Dave, he always had a good story; many of which we can all agree he would have shared over and over and over again!

Dave was a very patient and caring man who put others first and made it well known how proud he was of their accomplishments.

Dave will be deeply missed by all, and his memories will live forever!
