It is with heavy hearts that the Bendicsen family announces the sudden passing of Dan on November 6, 2019 at the age of 88 surrounded by his loving family.
Dan was born on June 23, 1931 in Vulcan, Alberta to parents Conrad and Sarah. He moved to Fernie in 1942 at the age of 10. In 1949 he met the love of his life Lorraine Lalonde (Lou) and they married in 1951.
Dan was a kind man who was always willing to help anyone who required assistance. Family was the main focus of his life and as such we always felt so much love. He was always helping someone in the family with home renovation projects which he loved.
Dan will be missed by his children Gerald (Wendy), Greg, Shari (Tom), Danna (Andy), Kevin (MaryAnn) and Jane (Larry) Lansing who are considered a part of our family and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He leaves us to join his wife, Lorraine, son Brian, grandsons Derrick and Brian Jr. and his parents Conrad and Sarah.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting Christmas toy donations to the Salvation Army.
