Barry POIRIER

It is with great sadness that the family of John Walter Barry Poirier announces the sudden peaceful passing in his home on November 27th, 2019 at the age of 69 years. 

Barry will be lovingly remembered by his 2 sons, Billy (Megan) and Rob (Natasha) and will also be fondly remembered by his 5 grandchildren: Noah, Caleb, Joshua, Mason and Sydney, by his sisters: Paula (John), Carol (Jack) and June and their children: David, Jason (Vanessa), Ryan (Natalya) and their families.

Born in Campbellton New Brunswick to parents Paul and Elsie (nee Stewart). Barry lived in New Carlisle, North Bay, Montreal, Campbellton and then in Elkford for the last 5 years of his life, being very close to his sisters and their loving families. 

Barry was an avid musician, fisherman and golfer and was well loved by all that knew him. May he rest in peace.

A small service for family and close friends will be held at the Cherished Memories Chapel in Fernie BC at 1:00 pm, followed by light refreshments at the Smith family residence in Elkford.
