Wayne BARR

It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne Barr announces his passing on February 3, 2025, at Tom Uphill Manor, in Fernie, BC. Wayne was born on March 2, 1960, in Fernie, BC.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Walter, and Tena (nee Parnell) Barr, brothers, Craig, James, and Jonathan and sister, April.

Wayne is survived by his brother, Eldon (Joann) Barr; his sister, Kim (Fred) Lancaster; nephews and nieces: Kristina (Blain), Ashly (Ryan), Levi (Wendy), Trevor, Candace (Dave) and Cody; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, and Brittany (Richard).

Wayne was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt with his family and friends. He had a green thumb, and his garden always did well. He enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with everyone he knew and will be deeply missed. Wayne worked various jobs in the Elk Valley, but he especially cherished his time with his dad at Walter Barr Trucking.
