Wanda FRASER Obituary

Wanda June Fraser passed away peacefully on Thursday February 12, 2026, one day after her 95th birthday in Fernie BC.

Wanda June (Henderson) Fraser was 1 of 9 children born February 11,1931 to Robert and May Henderson of Cedar Valley, Mission BC.

Wanda married Bill Pace on March 31, 1951 and Brenda Lea was born in June 1954. Wanda and Bill divorced and with Brenda in tow she made her way to Fort Nelson BC. Mom worked at the local restaurant where she met and fell in love with a handsome young bus driver, Art Fraser. They were married on October 1, 1971. Three children were born to bless their lives and complete their family. Juanita, Art and Tom made their circle complete. Art passed away suddenly on September 13th 1984.

Wanda remained in Fort Nelson for a short period of time and then moved to Edmonton and eventually moved to Sparwood for the last 18 years of her life. She made many friends and was fortunate enough to have both her sons Art and Tom in Sparwood.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her four children Brenda (Mike), Juanita, Art (Bonnie) and Tom, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She also leaves her youngest brother David (Beth) and numerous nieces and nephews. And of course, her guardian angel here on earth June.

The family would like to say a heartfelt "Thank you" to the doctors and nursing staff of the Elk Valley Hospital, your compassion and Mom's care will never be forgotten.

No Service will be held as per as Wanda's wishes. Those wishing to do so may make a donation in Wanda's memory to the Sparwood Seniors Villa.

If my parting has left a void

Then fill it with remembered joys

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss

Oh yes things I too will miss

Be not burdened with times of sorrow

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow

My life's been full Iv'e savoured much

Good Friends, Good times, A loved one's touch

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief

Don't lengthen now with undue grief

Lift up your hearts and peace to thee

God wanted me now, He set me free
