It is with great sadness that the family of Victor Joseph Myette announces his passing on September 28, 2023 at the age of 89 years old.
Vic was predeceased by his loving wife, Mae Alice Myette on March 17, 2020, at the age of 78 years old. He will be lovingly remembered by his four children and their spouses, Karen (Rick) Sturek, Kenny (Elaine) Myette, Kathy (Darcy) Brown and Kelly (Bill) Felker. He will be fondly remembered by his seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He will also be greatly missed by many other relatives and friends.
Vic will forever be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit, and someone who was always able to light up a room with his smile.
“We know that no matter what you will always be with us, when a dragonfly brushes gently by us so care freely, we will know it is you assuring us you are free from pain.”
We are all at peace knowing that he is now finally reunited with his soul mate Mae, and to commemorate their love, a quote from the lyrics of one of Vic and Mae’s favourite songs…
“I’m still the same old me, loving the same sweet you. Time hasn’t withered our hearts, and when our days are through, I’ll still be loving you, even death can’t keep us apart.
The Myette family would also like to thank all the staff, nurses and care aides at Rocky Mountain Village, who so kindly cared for both Vic and Mae over the past 5 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for both Victor and Mae.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
