RONALD GORDON BROWN

Born July 31, 1928 in Lethbridge, AB. Died peacefully in the Elk Valley Hospital July 9, 2020.

Ron had a colourful life, married at the young age of 23 and raised 7 children. He was an avid reader and showed interest in a wide range of topics. His career choices were from surveying in Northern Alberta, to equipment operating for two decades at Fording River Operations. After his retirement, he and his wife, Marie, (predeceased), moved to Cranbrook where they continued to do the camping and fishing they enjoyed so much n their Elkford days.

In 2018, Ron moved back to the valley and played out his final two years at Lilac Terrace. He had the pleasure of spending his last Father’s Day with his family in Lethbridge.

Sincere thanks to Ron’s family physician, Dr. Bentley, and to Dr. Soetaert and the Fernie nursing team for their kindness and compassion in caring for him in his final days.

No services will be held by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sparwood Public Library.
