Robert (Bob) Clement Marcer passed away June 6th, 2023, at Kootenay Street Village.
He was born January 28th, 1938, in Fernie, BC.
Bob was predeceased by his wife, Margaret. He is survived by his children, Charlene Eyles and Lance (Stacey) Marcer.
As well, his grandchildren, Cody, Gabriel, Jordon and Danelle.
Bob attended elementary and middle school in Waldo, BC and high school in Cranbrook, BC.
He joined the Eagle’s boxing club while in Cranbrook and went on to be East Kootenay Middle Weight Champion boxer.
Bob moved back to Fernie, BC and worked for Nohels Logging and married Margaret Willoughby.
They had two children and moved to Waldo, BC where Clement and Bob started their cattle ranch, Marcer Ranching Ltd.
Instead of getting expropriated, they moved to Newgate, BC when Koocanusa Lake went in.
Bob made a living on Marcer Ranching for many years and then formed a sister company B&LM Ranching with his son, Lance.
He eventually moved into Kootenay Street Village, for the last two years of his life.
Bob’s family would like to thank the staff at Kootenay Street Village for the great care Bob received.
