“Nature Bob” passed away peacefully at the age of 82 in the Elk Valley Hospital following a long illness.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Joan Livsey, his daughter Kary Hepworth (Scott Hepworth) and his grandsons Jesse and Luke and great granddaughter Kaiya, and his daughter Krista Prosser (Nickolas Prosser) and his granddaughter Felicity. He is also survived by his sister Margaret Livsey and her children Robert, Richard, and Laurel, and sister Dorothy Livsey and her children Cory and Kelly.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Jack and Glad Livsey.
Nature Bob was a naturalist, a ski instructor, a landscape artist, and a guide. His interests included sailing, painting, and mountain hiking with the Fernie Alpine Resort Nature Bob Interpretive Center. He especially liked to share his knowledge with children.
Linda would like to thank Hospice, palliative care, Angel Flight East Kootenay, and the staff at the Elk Valley Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer at the Fernie Alpine Resort. A bench in his name is planned by FAR for the Hill. Donations are being collected for a larger and a smaller bench to be in the City of Fernie.
