It is with heartache and profound sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Rick Adams on July 07, 2024, in Baynes Lake (his happy place).

Rick was a loving husband, father, papa, son, brother, uncle, friend, and, most of all, a mentor to many.

Rick is survived by his wife of 49 years, Deb; his daughter, Nicole (Paul); his son, Jeff (Christine) and his grandchildren: Mack, Riley, Emma, Nevaeh, Wilson, and Elizabeth. He is also survived by his mother, Sylvia; brother, Steve; mother-in-law, Marilyn; sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends.

Rick was predeceased by his father, Percy, in 1994.

Rick took great pride in his work at Line Creek for over 40 years as a heavy equipment operator and equipment trainer, retiring 2 years ago. His coworkers will lovingly remember Rick as Sarge; if you had the chance to work with him, you understand why.

He enjoyed spending summers at the trailer in Baynes Lake with family and friends. Rick took immense pride in helping around the campground, and when other campers needed help at their sites, he would be the first to lend a hand.

The family would like to thank the friends in the campground who came to Rick’s aid until the first responders arrived.  A heartfelt thank you to the first responders who showed such care with Rick. John, Lynda, and the staff at Cherished Memories, we cannot thank you enough for the love and care shown to our family.

Rick’s family invites friends to a drop-in celebration on July 20th, 2024, at the Baynes Lake Community Hall from 3 – 6 pm. Join us in having one last cold one on Rick.
