It is with sadness, but grateful hearts for a life well lived, that we announce the passing of our Dad (Paul) Dyer after 100 years. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Debbie (Jim) Lowe and Arlene (Rick) Ricker, five grandsons, five great grandsons and four great granddaughters. Paul was widowed twice - his first wife and mother of his girls, Marjorie, passed away in 1995. His second wife, Lenore, passed away in 2017. Paul was predeceased by his parents and two siblings.
Paul was born August 25, 1924, in the small prairie town of Piapot, Saskatchewan. Paul was a World War II veteran and after returning from the war he pursued a career in Industrial First Aid. He first worked at Alcan in Kitimat, BC, and then in Castlegar, BC on the construction of the Keenleyside Dam. From the late 60’s until retirement he was the Safety Supervisor at Elkview Operations in Sparwood, BC. Paul spent his last 11 years living in Silver Kettle Village in Grand Forks, BC.
Paul will be remembered for his love for others, his sense of humour, and his respect for God. He will be missed by all his family and friends, and his little granddog Ember who spent many hours on his lap, especially during his last years.
A special thank you to the staff at Silver Kettle for their incredible patience and love.
