Norman Stanley Denoon passed away peacefully after a tenacious battle with brain cancer on January 12, 2023 in Fernie BC.
Norman is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barb Denoon; his sister Judy; his three children: Lisa, Karley (Jake), and Connor (Jeremy); and grandchildren Tristan, Nicholas, and Elwood. He will also be missed by many other relatives and friends. Norman was predeceased by his brother George.
Norm was born on February 1, 1951 in Calgary AB where he also chose to raise his family. He worked in the oil and gas industry for over 50 years, leading the way in supply and manufacturing in Alberta.
Norm was a volunteer for the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede, participating as a driver for the Courtesy Car Committee for 20 years. His hobbies were dedicated to his fitness and health.
Some things Norm would want you to know are: “he’s a thing of beauty”, “you gotta want it”, and “not everyone’s going to like you!”
Happy trails Norm, we’ll see you on the other side of the mountain!
A celebration of Norm’s life will be held in Calgary AB and announced at a later date.
