Nebojsa 'Nick' VASIC Obituary

Nebojsa (Nick) Vasic, passed away on March 15, 2023, at the Elk Valley Hospital in Fernie, BC. He was born on August 15, 1939, in Krusevac, Yugoslavia.

Nick is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Slobodanka (Freda) and their children, Katarina and Vladeta. He will be deeply missed by many relatives and friends.

Nick graduated from the University of Belgrade with a degree in Civil Engineering. Nick and Freda married in August 1971. They moved to Canada in 1976, first moving to Windsor, ON, and then in 1979 to Sparwood, BC. Nick loved spending his time swimming, was an avid chess player, and loved telling bad jokes.

The Vasic family are deeply grateful and want to thank Dr. Paul Michal and the staff at the Elk Valley Hospital in Fernie and the Sparwood Health Centre, for the care, compassion and kindness given to Nick.
