Michael ROBERTS

With sad hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Roberts. Born in Stoke-upon-Trent, England, in 1942, he was the son of Robert and Ellen Roberts.  

Michael was married in 1964, to Sandra, and they had three sons. After a decision to emigrate to Canada in 1974 to work at the underground coal mines, Michael worked until retirement and remained living in the Cokato area of Fernie.  

He leaves behind to celebrate his life, his wife, Sandra of 61 years; sons: David (Caroline), Andrew (Tammy), and Michael (Rebecca); grand-children: Emma, Olivia, Hope, Flynn, and Lauren; sisters, Barbara (Bill), and Pam (Alan), along with many  nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; in-laws; sister, Sheila and brother-in-law, Derek.
