Maureen (nee Parkes) Richards passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024 in Fernie, BC. She was born on July 3, 1940 in Calgary, AB. Maureen was predeceased by her son, Darren in 2008, at the age of 45. She is survived by her children, Dean Richards and Melanie (Harold) Chowanetz; grandchildren, Christopher, Natalie, Justin, Kayla, Sean, and Celeina; great grandchildren Garrett, Analiese, Cordelia, Sullivan, Henry, Parker, Paxton, Arthur, and Ruth, and special friend Richard Sieben. She will be missed by many other friends.

Maureen moved to Rocky Mountain Village (Fernie, BC) in 2009 and was the longest serving resident at the time of her passing.

The Richards family would like to thank the staff at the Elk Valley Hospital for the wonderful care given to Maureen.
