Marlene RAWSON

It is with sad hearts that Ken and Brian Rawson announce the passing of their mother, Marlene Rawson (Slemko). at the early age of 83. They were at her bedside on July 6th when she peacefully drew her last breath.

Marlene was born to Mike and Elsie Slemko and was raised in Natal/Michel. She also had a sister Dorothy, who she loved dearly.

Marlene ventured to Calgary where she obtained her Nursing Degree, and later married the love of her life, Jim Rawson. The couple had two sons, Ken and Brian, eventually moving to Morrissey where they raised their little family.

Marlene was an amazing cook, happy to feed anyone who stopped by for a visit. During haying season, she would easily put out at least 300 perogies, and every one of them were quickly gobbled up. Marlene cooked for many large events; her meals were always hot and always on time.

She is now reunited with her love, and we are left to figure out the days without our mom, sister, and gram. Marlene leaves behind her sister Dorothy; sons Ken and Brian (Marilu); grandchildren Brent, Shelby, Kyle, and Breanna, and great grandchildren Heidi, Morgan, Gage, Weston, Ember, Paisley, Leddi, and last but not least, Gatlin.

There will be some long and difficult days ahead for those she has left behind; but we smile knowing you are at peace, and dancing again with dad.
