On January 18, 2025, Marlene Shirley Hawes passed away peacefully in the Cranbrook Hospital. Marlene was born on January 12, 1937, in Grand Forks, BC to parents Bruce and Shirley McDonald.
Marlene, Mom, was a kind, caring individual. She loved her family and close friends. Mom loved Wayne, her husband, fiercely and did a lot of activities, such as, snowmobiling and skiing. She did not always enjoy those activities, but she did them anyway. They both really enjoyed Christina Lake.
Mom was predeceased by her husband, Wayne and her parents, Bruce, and Shirley. Mom is lovingly survived by her sister, Sandy (Don); brother, Stan (Shane); daughters: Lori (Dale), and Debbie (Rob); son, Bruce (Anne) and grandchildren: Kayla, Karalea, Cody, Shaylene, Kyle, Devon (Christina), Jarod, Connor, and great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Maci.
Mom will be lovingly remembered and forever missed.
