Larry HUTCHINSON

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Hutchinson, who left us peacefully on October 13th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his own home.

Larry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, known for his kindness, humor, and unwavering support. He touched the lives of everyone he met, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Born in Fernie, BC to parents Bob and Nettie on March 12th, 1950, Larry, known to his family and friends as "Scaty", dedicated his life to his family and farming. Larry met Cindy in 1968 and were married on August 15th, 1970.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Cindy, son Lancer (Jen), daughter Alison (Bob), grandchildren Darcy, Brittany, Michael (McKenna), Dawson, Danika, and Chisum and great grandchildren Mason, Logan and Jaxx, as well as his many brothers and sisters and extended families who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

The family would like to thank Dr. Soetaert and all the home care nurses who aided Larry over the past couple of weeks. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hosmer Recreation Society in his memory.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd at 1:00 pm at Cherished Memories “Serenity Chapel”, followed by burial at St. Margaret's Cemetery. Please join family and friends to share memories of Larry at the Hosmer Hall following the service.
