With great sadness we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, wife, nanna, sister, and friend. Jolene Scarpelli left this earth on October 1, 2024, with family by her side. Jolene was born in Calgary, Alberta on June 11, 1958. She passed away at the age of 66.

Jolene will be lovingly remembered by her husband, of almost 48 years, John Scarpelli; daughter, Laurelle (Darren) Ovinge; grandchildren, Cruz, Kash, Clara, and Colter; brothers, Jeff and Rod, and sister, Andrea. She will be greatly missed by many other relatives and friends.

Jolene was a beautiful soul that had a great love for everyone she knew. She adored spending time with her grandchildren and would do anything for them. Jolene and her husband owned a business together for over thirty years while raising their daughter. Later in life Jolene decided to pursue a job in the accounting office at the Fernie Alpine Resort. She truly cherished the amazing friendships she formed while working there.

All who knew her were blessed by her kindness, genuineness, and humor.

An angel lived among us,

A gift from God above,

She showered us with kindness,

And shared with us her love,

She cherished every moment,

With the man who was her life,

Walking hand in hand together,

Facing life with all its strife.

She loved her children dearly,

Each one a different way,

Nestled close within her heart,

Though, now, she is far away,

She has gone to live with Jesus,

But she is here with us today,

Smiling down on every one of us,

And telling us she’s ok.
