John JOHNSEN Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John (Johnny) Johnsen on February 5, 2023.

Johnny came into this world on January 7, 1960 and spent most of his life in Sparwood, BC. He absolutely loved fishing, camping, playing darts, doing impersonations of people, and being a joker. He was an avid Edmonton Oilers and Toronto Blue Jays fan. Johnny enjoyed spending time with his son Shane, his family, and friends; though he wasn’t much of a beer drinker, hahahahaha.

Johnny worked hard his whole life, mostly as a heavy duty equipment operator. He lived life to the fullest, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Johnny was definitely one-of-a-kind, and left an impact on everyone who knew him.

Johnny was predeceased by his parents Ozzie and Margaret Johnsen. He is survived by his only child, Shane (Alex), his sister Brenda, his brother Bill (Patti), and his nieces and their families as well as many, many friends, and of course, by the love of his life, his beloved cat Jinx.
