Joel ZIMBALATTI

Joel Thomas Jacob Zimbalatti was tragically taken from us at a young age on October 11th, 2023.  Just 21 years old, he was born on July 22nd, 2002, in Fernie, BC.

Joel was predeceased by his loving grandmother, whom he affectionately referred to as “Nan”, family friend, Mario, and a grandfather (Joe) who left this earth before Joel was born.

Joel is survived by his mother Toni, siblings Travis and Brynlee, uncle Terrance, two great aunts Pat and Joanne, several cousins, and last but not least, Joel’s pride and joy, his dog, Eli.

Joel came into this world a beautiful, healthy boy with bright eyes and thick dark hair.  Inquisitive from the start, he had a knack for quickly learning anything he set his mind to.  He had a way of putting a smile on anyone’s face, a true shining light in a sometimes very dark world.  He had pure, unequivocal love and loyalty for his family and friends and would walk to the ends of the earth for them in a heartbeat, no hesitation.  His candle has been snuffed out far too soon and he will be deeply missed by many, far and wide.

A special thanks to Joel’s good friends Chris and Bryce for whom Joel would be incredibly proud and grateful for in these arduous times.
