Alexander James Lozza passed away peacefully on January 13, 2022 at the age of 66 years. He was born in Fernie on December 17, 1955.

Jim is survived by wife of 25 years, Merrilee, his brothers Tommy and Steven, sisters Karen and Linda and his aunt Alma as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jim was a logging truck driver for over 20 years, and for the last 16 years worked at the Alpine resort RCR. He was enjoying his retirement with gardening and mowing lawns before suffering a stroke that ended up taking his life.

Family and friends will celebrate his life in the Spring when circumstances are more suitable for travel. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support, and for the donations that were made in Jim’s name. Your thoughtfulness is truly appreciated.

Jim was a great man with a big heart who shared many memories with the many people who loved him. He will be truly missed.
