James Michael WOOD

It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of James Michael Wood announces his sudden passing on November 9, 2021 at the age of 27 years. He was born April 16, 1994 in Dawson Creek, BC.

James will always be remembered by his positivity, sweet smile, gentleness, patience, laughter, and his goofy animated voice impersonations of his favourite characters. 

He had a great passion and love for music. He would spend many hours listening, singing, and writing his own lyrics. He played flute, harmonica, guitar, ukulele, and keyboards. James enjoyed playing along with legends such as Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, and Bob Marley.

James had a love for deep inspirational quotes, poetry, and creativity in various art projects. 

His enjoyment of his favourite dishes will be missed. James would spend hours in the kitchen creating nachos to share; he looked forward to Friday pizza nights, but always craved A&W.

He was fond of nature and outdoor activities, especially mountain biking and longboarding.

James was predeceased by his sister, Natalie, on November 9, 1991. He is survived by his mother Pat, his father Lance; his sisters Aleesha (Cody), and Carmen (Todd), and their children Danny, Daemon, and Ezra, and his dog, Bubbles. He will be fondly remembered and missed by family, extended family and friends.

A memorial will be held in West Kelowna, BC on April 2022 (date, time, and place TBA). A life celebration service will be held in Sparwood, BC at the Sparwood Christian Centre in May (date and time TBA).

The Wood family would like to thank the efforts of R.L. Dakin for providing valuable resources in the search for James. Our gratitude and appreciation to those who upheld James and family in prayer. The support, encouragement, meals, and flowers warmed our heart and made us feel loved.
