Heather MITCHELL

It is with great sadness that the family of Heather Mitchell announce her passing on July 1, 2024. Heather is survived by the love of her life, Paul Fisher; brother, Stuart (Carol) Mitchell; sister, Ann Marie (Cyril) Schermann and many other friends and family.

Heather was born on January 10, 1957, in Sparwood, BC. She was the middle child of Frank and Mary Michell. Heather grew up in the Sparwood and Fernie area and loved the outdoors. She met Paul in Creston in 1998 and that began their 26 years together. During this time Heather was custodian at the Sparwood and Fernie schools for a total of 36 years. It was a lifetime of work that meant the world to her. She will be missed by many teachers and students alike.

Heather and Paul spent much of their time together living in Hosmer and enjoying the beautiful nature that area offered. They loved to go camping in their trailer and made precious memories that will be cherished by Paul in the years to come. Heather will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but especially Paul and their beloved cat, Abby.
