Eliza Mary HUGHES

We celebrate the amazing life of our dear Eliza.

Eliza was born in Fernie BC, August 10th, 1998. She was an adventurous, engaged, and happy child. She excelled in volleyball and track sports and received the Gigliotti trophy for outstanding sportsmanship. She played piano and performed in many recitals; she was a gifted writer and student.

Eliza bravely travelled the globe experiencing new countries and cultures. She loved hiking and the beauty of nature, going canoeing, and skiing. Her adventurous daring spirit guided her through life.

As an individual Eliza’s creativity and compassion shone through. Her ability to bring light and love to her environment was truly admirable. She adored her many wonderful friends and continually gifted her happiness to others.

We remember Eliza’s legacy with loving hearts; struck with despair at the loss of our beautiful daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, goddaughter, and precious friend.

Eliza is survived by her mother Angela (Rimmer) Hughes and father Paul Hughes, her brother Patrick Hughes, maternal grandparents Terry and Julia Rimmer, her uncles and aunts, John Peter & Linda Hughes, Frank Hughes & Candace Grey, Thomas & Grace Hughes, and Matthew & Andrea Rimmer, and cousins Nicholas, Connor, Luke, JR, Casey, Luca, and Isaac as well as many wonderful friends. She was predeceased by her great grandparents and her paternal grandparents, John and Doreen Hughes.
