Eleanor BAUER Obituary

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Helen Eleanor Bauer. Eleanor was born in Kimberly, BC on August 18, 1938.

Eleanor married Werner Josef Bauer in October 1956 in Riondel, BC. Eleanor and Josef welcomed four beautiful children: Joe (Kim) Bauer, Janice (Harley) Paton, Bruce (Phyllis) Bauer, and Rick (Bev) Bauer.

The couple moved to Elkford in 1972 to continue their journey. They then welcomed thirteen grandchildren: Kenzie Karwandy, Shae Bauer, Payton Bauer, Melissa Paton, Amanda Parker, Brett Paton, Travis Bauer, Chelsea Bauer, Sheena Bauer, Chase Bauer, Sara Legacy, Michelle Petovello and Kassie Bauer, as well as twenty-four great grandchildren.

Eleanor would often be described as a fierce, loving woman who adored her family. She was a crafty lady who spent a lot of her time sewing and knitting.

Also left to mourn her passing are her sisters, Beverly Wills, Cathy Wills, and Brenda Butula, and her brother, Ken Wills, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her mother and father, John and Mary Wills, brothers Richard Wills and David Wills, and her sister Linda Mayert.

The family would like to thank the Elk Valley Hospital and Rocky Mountain Village. Eleanor will be greatly missed by many and has left lots of beautiful memories behind.
