Dorothy LATAK

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dorothy Latak on April 2, 2025, at the Elk Valley Hospital. She was surrounded by the wonderful caregivers that had become such good friends to her.

Left to miss Dorothy are her nieces and nephews and life-long friend and neighbor, Mary Mattersdorfer. She is predeceased by her parents, Marj and Joe, and sisters, Lottie and Irene.

Dorothy worked at CIBC bank and The City of Fernie for many years. She loved curling, bowling, and golfing with friends. She was a people person with lasting friendships whether in town or with friends that had moved away. She loved to chat and always had a story to tell. Dorothy had a green thumb, and her garden was full of beautiful flowers, not a weed to be found. She was an animal lover and always had a dog or two in her arms.

Rest in peace Dorothy, you will be forever missed.
