David Paul CZERNICKI

David Paul Czernicki passed away on December 24, 2022 at the Rocky Mountain Village Care Home at the age of 69 years. He was born in Fernie on November 7, 1953.

David is survived by his brother Les (Lynda) and their three children: Jacob (Lyndsey) with his sons Preston and Connor, Stephanie (Jamie) with their children Harper and Finley, and Emmylou (Kyle) and their son Nixon. He was predeceased by his parents Steve and Alein, and his nephew Blake Czernicki.

David had two pastimes: old Bonanza reruns and all western movies. He also played the accordion, playing whenever and for whomever would listen. David entertained at Kimberley Bavarian Days and at the senior homes in Fernie numerous times. When meeting David, you were greeted with a handshake, and then he would start chatting with you for as long as you would listen.

The Czernicki family would like to thank Dr. Rader from Sparwood, Interior Health, and the staff at Rocky Mountain Village for caring for David the last five months of his life.
