David ANDERSON

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, David Allan Anderson, on May 23, 2025 at the age of seventy-five years.

Dave was the oldest child of Harold and Hildur Anderson, born and raised in Rossland, B.C. 

While growing up Dave participated in baseball and hockey, but his keen interest in Boy Scouts really stood out. He loved camping, hiking, and swimming in the great outdoors.

Soon after Dave graduated from high school he was hired by Red Mountain Mining, where his mining career began. When the mine closed Dave headed north to Granisle copper mine. In the late 1970’s it was time for a change and Dave came south to Sparwood, B.C. where he was hired by Weststar Mining Ltd., Balmer operations.

In 1983 Dave was itching to purchase his own home, and over these last 42 years he made many improvements to it. While living in Sparwood he garnered some great friendships. Dave was known for his sharp wit and his boisterous, gruff laugh.

Dave will be missed by his sisters, Karon (Ken), Carol (Mike) and Candace (Doug) and his companion pet, Minew.
