Carl Alexander STEWART

It is with a loving and heavy heart we say goodbye to a wonderful father, grandpa, and friend. Carl Alexander Stewart aka “Sandy” or the “Sandman” was born December 31, 1955, in Calgary, AB and passed away on April 24, 2022 in Jaffray, BC.

Dad loved the simple things life had to offer. He especially loved and looked forward each year to his “resort” out in Yahk; he was genuinely happy and at peace when he was there; it was his serenity.

Dad never took things too seriously and was always up for an adventure. Anything outdoors brought him so much joy and that is where he could really shine: 4x4ing (Dad was an amazing driver), fishing, camping, fires, cold beer, and rock n roll! And let us not forget the T-bone steaks, no onions and cooked rare!

Dad had the most helping heart; he was always willing to drop anything and everything if anyone needed a hand, and never expected a thing in return. He was always wise beyond his years and excelled above and beyond in anything he took a liking to, from karate in his younger years, driving, or most recently his mad computer skills! He was a computer God and fixed everyone’s computers near and far. His infectious laugh, those big blue eyes and his prankster ways will never be forgotten.

He leaves behind and not to mourn, as Dad would never have wanted that, but to live, laugh and play our music so loud it shakes the windows, his three children: Crystal, Kyle and Kerri; his beautiful grandkids: Chorissa, Teneal, Abbigail, Emily, Ethan, Jess, and Lyden; siblings Julie, Wes, Roxanne, Keith, and Jamie as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dad,

Your journey here is over now, so find your peace beyond the clouds.

We will miss you everyday, but we are going to wipe our tears away,

knowing you are still guiding us through the times we need you most.

We take comfort in all the memories, and your infectious laugh we will never forget.

So please, rest easy! You are all done now, and it is time to enjoy your peace beyond the clouds.
