Alma Rose Mae Atherton

Alma's family is sad to announce that Alma has completed her life's journey. 

She peacefully passed at the Elk Valley Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

Alma was predeceased by her mother, Phylis Atherton; father, Bert Atherton; sister, Doreen Lozza, and nephew, Jimmy Lozza.

She is survived by brothers, Bill and Tim Atherton; nephew, Tom Lozza, and niece Linda Pryhitko. She also leaves behind many friends at Trinity Lodge where she called home for many years.

A huge thank you to her neighbors Alice Heaton, Terri Filek, and Sharon Gleason for their love, kindness and support for Alma over the past several months.

To Doctor Paul Michal and his medical for keeping Alma at home until it was time. This meant the world to her and our family. The Elk Valley Support Team was absolutely amazing. You kept coming back even when she put the run on you over the past few months. You all kept her smiling, and she kept all of you on your toes.

Alma was a very private lady and she never liked a fuss, but she loved to fuss over everyone else. At her request we will not have a service, but a private interment will take place.
