Richard HEDRICH Obituary

On Monday, July 1, 2019, Richard Hedrich, husband, father, son and brother, passed away suddenly at the age of 45 years. Rick will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend Stephanie, and their children, Whitney, Brendan and Ford, grandchildren Sailor and Daxtin, by his mother Joan Hedrich, and by his brother Jeff. Rick will also be forever remembered by his numerous extended family members and dear friends.

Rick grew up in Fernie before relocating to Grasmere and then Cranbrook where he raised his family and opened his own business. He loved to fish, hunt, ride snowmobiles and you might even catch him on the golf course once in a while. He had a passion for building demolition derby vehicles and cherished the gathering of friends and family on derby day. Most of all he loved his family and friends and would do anything for them.

Rick’s generosity continues as the donation of his organs and tissue has helped others to have a better quality of life. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer to see a small donation go to the heart and stroke foundation of Canada.

A celebration of life will be held in the near future, at which time friends and family will be notified. Thank you to all of Rick’s numerous friends for your support during this difficult time.
